Hello,
My name is Denise with MyLuxury1st.com and I am a Trach mom.
I
would like to show you how the Suction Catheters look outside of it's
packaging. So this is kind of an unboxing or unpackaging if you
will.
Inside
the package; the items are considered sterile and for single use at
the hospital, but at home; it may be used one time or several times.
You may open a new pack every 8 hours or every day -depending on how
many you have to last you or what you and your insurance will
cover...
Please
note that using more than once may risk the possibility of
cross-contamination or non-functioning of the product; but once you
get home you will see and go with what works for you and your family.
You
can always keep it inside the basin when not in use and make sure not
to touch the part that will be going down the Trach itself.
This
comes with the Basin and one powder free Vinyl glove.
All
you need to do is peel open the package; take the glove; remover the
catheter, and proceed with your suctioning.
The
catheter has one centimeter numerical depth markings that commence at
5cm marks.
These
are prescription only
You
get one in each single use package
The
sizing is an 8 Fr or 8 French
I'm
documenting this to help others who may need information for a new
Trach patient or family member.
